Frequently Asked Questions about Private Lessons

Private lesson fees range from about $60 an hour to $100 an hour depending on the coach.  Most skaters start with 30 to 60 minutes a week, which can be one lesson or split into two lessons.

Please keep in mind that you will need to also pay for the rink session you will be skating on whether it is a public session or a freestyle session.  This transaction will need to be handled at the front desk prior to taking the ice.

You will pay the private instructor directly in the form of payment that they prefer. Most coaches take cash, check, or a form of electronic payment such as Venmo,  PayPal, CashApp, or Zelle.

Once you are connected with a private instructor, you will speak to them to discuss availability and schedule lessons.

If you already know the coach you would like to take lessons with, you can approach them directly or reach out them if you have their contact information. If you do not have their contact information, it may be available below, or you can reach out to learntowskate@iceandfield.com and we can get you in touch.

It is highly recommended that all skaters practice a minimum of one extra skating day a week aside from their private lesson.  This allows the skater to work on their elements and as well, develop friendships and comradery on the ice with other skaters.

Yes. Your ice fee to skate on the session is completely separate from the fee you will pay to your private instructor, and is paid to the rink.
