Skaters participating in either of the high level groups interested in a step-out role are invited to submit a video audition by Friday, October 2nd, 2026.
Choose one of the two audition songs listed below and record yourself performing to it. You may sing, skate, dance, act—or get creative and combine them! Submit your video file or a link to your video to shows@iceandfield.com.

To our coaches, thank you for the countless hours, creativity, encouragement, and care you poured into preparing our skaters. To our skaters, thank you for sharing your talent, hard work, courage, and joy with us—you truly made every page of this story come alive.
To our creative team, staff, and volunteers, thank you for all the work behind the scenes that turned this idea into a successful production. Every detail, big and small, helped create the magic our audience experienced.
And to our families, friends, and audience, thank you for filling the rink with your enthusiasm, applause, and support. A story is only complete when there is someone to share it with, and we are so grateful you chose to be part of ours.

Our Once Upon a Time performances will take place on Saturday, August 15 and Sunday, August 16 at 4:00 PM.
To help each performance run smoothly and safely, backstage and locker-room access will be limited to skaters, coaches, and authorized staff and volunteers. Family members and spectators are welcome to enjoy the show from the audience but will not be permitted backstage.
Skaters should arrive between in costume and check in immediately upon arrival.
Skaters performing in the First Act should arrive fully ready to skate, including skates and hard guards on, as they will need to be prepared before the performance begins.
Skaters performing in the Second Act should arrive in costume with all required accessories, skates, and hard guards. Staff and volunteers will be available in the locker rooms to assist skaters with skates, costumes, and other preparations.
Please make sure all hair, makeup, and costume preparation is completed before arrival unless your coach has provided different instructions.
Once checked in, skaters should remain backstage and may not return to the lobby or audience during the performance.
All skaters are expected to remain backstage through the full-company curtain call unless otherwise noted below.
Our youngest Snowplow Sam performers may be picked up during intermission following their performance. They are also welcome and encouraged to stay through the end of the show to participate in the full-company curtain call. Simple activities will be available backstage to keep them entertained while they wait.
All other skaters will be dismissed following the curtain call.
For everyone’s safety, skaters must be signed out through the designated table outside of the gold rink. Please do not attempt to pick up a skater directly from a locker room or backstage entrance.
Please be sure your skater arrives with:
✓ Costume already on, including over-the-boot tights, unless otherwise instructed by their coach
✓ Skates
✓ Hard guards
✓ A warm jacket or throw blanket—it is cold backstage!
✓ All costume accessories
✓ A clearly labeled water bottle
✓ Any required props assigned to the skater
Please clearly label all belongings with the skater’s name.
Tickets will be available for pickup beginning at 2:00 PM on each show date.
Doors will open for audience seating at 3:15 PM, and the performance will begin at 4:00 PM.
Family members and spectators should enter through the public entrance and remain in the audience and other public areas. A show ticket is required for admission.
Parents will not be permitted in the locker rooms or backstage to assist with skate tying, costumes, or preparations. Staff and volunteers will be available to help. If your skater requires special assistance, please contact us before show day so arrangements can be made.
Snowplow Sam families who plan to leave at intermission may pick up their skaters at the designated sign-out area following their performance. Skaters who leave early will not be able to participate in the curtain call.
Information regarding hair, makeup, and costume-specific preparation has already been emailed directly to Large Group participants.

All programming will resume at 5 p.m. tonight.
